Hi! I’m Stephanie, the owner and artist behind Orchid Calligraphy.

My calligraphy journey began during a life transition, where I found a measure of calm in the midst of a turbulent time. Armed with a Pilot Parallel and a Pentel Touch brush pen, I learned Italic calligraphy and brush lettering; and then I picked up a dip pen, calligraphy nibs, and Eleanor Winters’ excellent book Mastering Copperplate and worked tirelessly to hone my skill with this gorgeous, intricate style. I also discovered and fell in love with the fantasy-esque Uncial alphabet, which has quickly become one of my favorite alphabets to work with. With all of these mesmerizing calligraphy hands at my disposal, I am ready to add beauty, elegance, and a touch of whimsy to your events and projects.

The calligraphy alphabets I offer are Italic, Uncial, Copperplate, and several modern calligraphy styles. I also have an excellent eye for color matching and composition, allowing me to create the perfect match for the style of your project. In addition, my attention to detail is extremely keen, having been practiced and perfected over 5 years of my past work in translation and proofreading—I’ll incorporate every specification you have into your project, and I’m certain to catch and be able to fix even the smallest of mistakes. I’m also well-known among past clients for my communication skills, which perfectly blend friendliness with directness and enable me to handle problem-solving in an extremely respectful way.
